This upgrade service by CNW is a standard fundamental process in many camper vans because it greatly improves the ambient sound and interior temperature that travel through any metal floor, ceiling, wall, or door. Properly insulating these areas in a camper will greatly improve the comfort level of all travel experiences on or off the highway. We use noise insulation and vibration dampening materials that are super sticky and light weight. they can be combined with wool or foam insulation for controlling heat transfer in both warmer and colder climates. As an example, the photos below illustrate how we insulated the back doors of a high-roof Sprinter van.

Sound deadening material applied

We use thin and light weight butyl mats that are self-adhesive, foil-backed sound deadening vibration dampers. They are designed for the automotive industry as an industrial sound damping material for applications that need extreme performance.

Wool insulation applied.

Natural fiber-based wool insulation is made from sheep’s wool, which is a natural fiber. Unlike fiberglass and Rockwool, which contain synthetic fibers and formaldehyde, wool insulation is free from these potentially harmful substances. Wool insulation has a high R-value per inch, meaning it provides excellent thermal insulation.
